Project: Master Bedroom
|
Designer Ron Wolz used Brunschwig & Fils green toile wallpaper and matching fabric to turn the second-floor master bedroom of this Hurstbourne Estates home into a restful retreat.

“Antique accessories, such as the horse oil painting and tea caddy on the mantel, give the room a sense of permanence and timelessness. The flower arrangements in their tole containers add texture but stay within the room’s white and green color scheme ” |
“For the Martha Washington chairs in front of the fireplace we used a large green damask print. It’s the perfect scale for the backs and seats and doesn’t compete with the toile.”

“When designing window treatments, I select the fabric first and then decide what style will work best with the fabric. Notice how the print is centered on the French door’s Roman shades and how the pattern on the front windows’ hanging drapes matches up with the wallpaper beside it.”
|
| “Bedrooms should be restful. I prefer neutral spreads, such as this white matelassé. It’s timeless and easy to maintain. The shams were made from the toile and outlined quilted to give them dimension. The browns and reds in the horse accent pillow and wool plaid blanket add a splash of color without overdoing it.” |
